How's life? what have you been up lately? 

After getting lost for several months :p finally I'm getting to this post in the first month of this new year 2012. Happy new Yeaaaarrr!!

Welcoming this year means preparing a new life which Ndut and me will have a new member of family, my baby. Yuuuppp! I'm pregnant!! Gue udah berhasil lolos melewati first trimester dengan symptom2 yang menurut gua ngga indah sama sekali (that's the truth), dan hampir melewati the second stage dan yang nantinya gue harus lebih kuat lagi di trimester terakhir. 

Gue berharap setelah melewati masa2 nausea dan mood swing ini, gue pengen mood bagus buat ngerjain hal-hal yang gue suka bisa dateng lagi secepetnya. Gue udah bosen do nothing, gue pengen ngerjain sesuatu! tapi kalo moodnya ngga ada, ya mau gimanaaa T__T

"Don't ever put blame on your pregnancy!"  yap. setidaknya itu yang sering gue denger dari suami gue ketika gue mengeluh karena banyak hal-hal yang gue suka dan ngga bisa gue kerjain lagi karena gara2 gue hamil.

Mulai dari baca buku, masak, menjahit, menyulam, nonton film, nyiram rumput dan taneman dihalaman, dan bla bla bla termasuk nyalain laptop. karena, ketika mau memulai ngelakuin hal-hal itu pasti mual dateng, masih mending kalo cuma mual, tapi ini selalu diakhiri dengan muntah.

yeah, suami gue bener. Walopun kehamilan gue ini diluar rencana kami, gue ga semestinya menyalahkan si baby a.ka si bolang ketika kehilangan mood bagus. Apalagi sekarang ketika si bolang udah jago silat didalem perut, dugem disiang hari yang berasa banget jedak jeduknya, biarpun ngilu ternyata asik juga gilak! hehehe. 

Hmmm yaaa, postingan kali ini udah mungkin cukup membuktikan kalo mood bagus gue sedikit demi sedikit dateng lagi. semoga yah, semoga gue bisa update blog ini lagi. 

aaahhh don't too much ramblings, just let the journey begin! yaay!

cushions for summer lovers

Long time no see!
I don't feel inspired for these couple of  weeks, but I've tried so hard to drew some sketch, applied to cotton fabrics and sewed some cushions..

Hola!

Enggak sengaja aku nemu (juga) anak kucing di pinggir jalan, di lahan kosong di sebelah sebuah bengkel motor. Entah dibuang sama orang yang sebelumnya melihara atau si emak pus ngelahirin dan ngebesarin di lahan kosong itu...yang jelas anak kucing itu a.ka Ollie nangis teriak-teriak dan pas aku samperin (hampir sebelum dia jatuh ke selokan yg penuh banget sama limbah tuh bengkel sialan) dia langsung lari nyamperin. Firasat ku *halah.. memang sepertinya dia pernah dipelihara soalnya dia jinak banget. 

Aaah tak peduli, peliharaan siapapun di lahan kosong itu, berjenis kelamin cewek atau cowok, aku sama Ndut memutuskan untuk bawa Ollie pulang. Ternyata besarnya ga lebih besar dari tanganku.  Ternyata Ollie masih kecil sekalii...
Sesudah mandi dan wangi, tadaaa!! Ternyata Baby Ollie cantik juga :)

 

Aku tau si kecil lincah ini ga mau sendirian, jadi aku buatkan Nona Loli untuk teman "perang cakar" juga untuk nemenin Ollie tidur. 

Karena memang Ollie punya rumah kardus digarasi, jadi kalau malem Ollie tidur dirumah kardusnya. Dan karena enggak mungkin cuma ditemenin sama nona Loli dan baju-baju bekas untuk alas tidur, jadinya Ollie aku buatin Kasur Hitam Ollie (floor cushion) buat tidur didalem rumah kardus :)

June's Gifts

My cousin, she loves frog! I don't know why and I could never get the best answer for every single question. I never see her with a real frog in her hand, feeding or just stroking any frog. But forget it, because she has a lot of frog stuffs in her room. At least it has proven her as a frog lover ;)
She came to visit me in the middle of June, I knew and predicted that she would have special stuffs for me in her hands. Otherwise, I only gave her one thing, I sewed a - postman bag for her.

I drew the frog, hoping that she would love it. Then, one day I -accidentally- found this sentence on the internet "You gotta kiss a lot of frogs before you find a prince" It's  perfect since she haven't met her real prince yet :P, but it's a joke anyway :) So, with my hubby's suggestion, finally I embroidered the words.

  well, great! she really loves the bag :)

I sewed a special pouch too for my new best friend in Bali. So glad, when she said that she like it :)

Hey, A Blue Polka Tote Bag!

 I have some fabrics, and I imagined a big blue polka tote bag would be nice to be my hand-sewing collection for this month. But I made mistakes in cutting the fabric, oh I really didn't pay attention to the pattern size. It means that I was too confidence in cutting the fabric, gosh!

I didn't get a big tote instead. But that's okay, at least I can put my small laptop in this small tote bag. And now, I'm just sort of thinking to make another tote bags, hopefully I'll get another good mood (again) :)

Hand sewing dress

Waiting is a cheesy thing. not always actually. But when you want something so bad, and you can't get it for a particular time, it means cheesy :P

I haven't got the sewing machine but I really want to make those abandoned fabrics turn in to some things. (clothes, bags, pouches etc)

So, I decided to sew a dress. I made it in three days. And I had one- googling day (on that day, I was very busy googling for some hotels for my next trip. so I left the dress - work) so it should be finished in two days with hand sewing. And this is it... my first -hand sewing- dress.

These are the patterns of the dress.

And this is the dress. I add a white lace and put the label :)

something that ordinary will become extraordinary when we consider it as an extraordinary thing :)

me and the embroidery #3

I was sort of thinking about my old red-sweater I owned when I was child. I got it from my old aunt  (in Yogyakarta) That's not for my B'day gift anyway, it's just sort of a trip-gift from her. oh I really miss that old thing as much as I miss my old aunt. 

And sure, I  didn't successfully wear even one of my sweater while I was sick. - I got cough for several days. It's so lousy because I couldn't remove the phlegm. It was stuck in my lung and made me hard to breath. I got fever then, and I lose a million - to do anything  moods as well. It's so terrible spending my days in bed and doing nothing. And after having those  -not in the mood - days, I finally finished the Blossom May :)

I finish my new 'jumping' embroidery today. I have to say that: actually there is a pretty unfinished embroidery, but i decided to jump to (another) this embroidery because I -at that time- got the pop-up new idea in my brain after seeing my old black-suede shoes in the shoe box.
